I was given a few things to write about over the weekend by Jenn which I will post about over the next couple of days. Today I will be responding to the first one on the list, and probably work my way down. The topics being:

My thoughts on love.

My thoughts on love, that’s something I honestly haven’t thought about a whole bunch in depth about. I would like to believe that their is somebody out there for everyone. I do not think someone should give up on relationships just because the first one fails, just means you have not found the right person yet.


How would I define love?

I often hear how people define love as being a feeling you cannot explain. I do not have a good way to explain it myself, however, when I hear people refer to sleeping together as “making love” it sounds as though sleeping together is what creates the love which I do not agree with.

I believe if you truly love somebody you are not with them just because of the good times, but stick beside them during the bad times as well. Bad times include mistakes that may be dealt within the relationship as well, whatever they may be. There should not be a reason for lies or secrets within a good relationship, but having a relationship like that means you should be prepared for whatever you are told. If you were asked not to be lied to, you may get told something you will not like, in that case do not freak out, just stay calm and work it out.

I think love should be a feeling you get just from being with the person. When your happy doing things with a person, just hanging out or watching a movie and cuddling. I do not believe a relationship should be based on sleeping together.

Final Notes:

I say if you think you might be in love, run with it. If it does not work out, at least you will not regret never trying later in life. So rather you live next door to the one you may love, or you live thousands of miles away, go for it. Life is full of trial’s and error, this may include going through a few relationships before finding that special someone.
